Bro'ing out with Brooks Brothers
You are not from Boston unless you got to Head of the Charles. There, I said it. You are obligated to stop by for 10 minutes, cheer, maybe cowbell, and of course check out the awesome tents people have set up. It’s also great for people watching. Over the years I’ve been collecting Brooks Brother’s HOCR collector’s wear, and I love it! How New England can you get?
My best friend Sara (pictured below) from the 1st grade (sandbox love never dies) came in from Jersey for the weekend; for my Hocus Pocus movie night (photos on instagram) and HOCR. Sara went to BU when I went to Simmons, and her freshman year dorm overlooked the Charles. Every morning when I did crew (at 5 am) I’d text her to look out her window and look for the girl rowing in bright pink crew socks. She never did. I guess sleep was more valuable.
Sara is my oldest, and definitely most loyal friend. It’s really hard to make friends as an adult. I feel like I’m friendly to everyone and make friends here and there, but finding a true loyal friend is a gem. Thanks Sara for making my weekend and helping me take photos!
