Cozy in Tartan and Lace
I hope everyone had a happy holiday/some vacation time, no matter what you celebrate. We New Englanders have had some crazy weather lately. Thanksgiving was a snow storm, and this weekend, DECEMBER, has been in the 50ºs. This is a layered outfit, perfect for weird weather - I use a dress layered with a sweater that could have been easily removed for warmer weather.
I LOVE pairing dresses with sweaters, giving the allusion of a skirt - my closet is filled with dresses, because of this obsession. I don't limit myself on types of dresses either, if I see a summer dress I love, I also see its opportunity for winter. Also, wearing a dress as a skirt, you don't have to worry about the skirt riding up or twisting. That's one of my biggest pet peeves: wearing a skirt, then half way through your day, you realize the back zipper is on top of your right thigh! No more with an outfit like this.
