Shortly Spring
I'm ready for spring. Boston springtime is such a tease: 70º one day, 20º the next. Just like the men in my life: 'I love you one day,' and the next 'ehhh not so much.' (I'll open more up about that on my next post) Cuffing season is over ladies, and I'm here to tell you it's time to rip off the sheets, get out there, and show off some leg.... sensibly of course (with tights... it's still cold).
I'm still on the high-waisted kick, and I found these Alice + Olivia high-waisted shorts that are kind of like a skirt, which is perfect during breezy spring days, especially along the Seaport. The Seaport is a whole new area, awesome new restaurants, adult playgrounds with see-saws, but holy crap expensive. Find it funny as a Bostonian, knowing this area had nothing before, and now it's these million dollar condos. Meanwhile I'm eating frozen dinners, praying I don't get priced out of my apartment that's super old. What is happening, Boston?!?!? Boston, is the new Boston. I love this city, but when did we get so bougie? Oh, speaking of bougie, I love Gucci's new line with all the bows. Below, are some more affordable options (under the pictures).
Where I go in Seaport:
Honeygrow
Kings (I LOVE BOWLING and big punch drinks)
Envoy Lookout Bar (beautiful for the summer)
Yotel Sky Lounge
FYI Seaport is the new trendy area, geared to people I would say in their late 20s to mid 30s. Perfect instagram setting with roof deck bars that overlook the water and skyline, and "Love Wins" sculptures to pose in front of. A mixture of trendy cafe's that are better than Starbucks, and healthy "fast food" salad options like Honeygrow and Sweetgreen. It has a LA vibe to it.
