Fall in love with Boston (and this Camel Coat)

1. I really wanted to show off my new buys for Fall, especially this coat from Primark
2. It was so hot in Boston this weekend when I took these photos, there are people kayaking in the background.
3. Enjoy this fake Fall shoot!

Boston is such an exciting time in the Fall. There are over 30 colleges in and around the Boston area, so when all the students head back, the city becomes alive. I'm sure as you saw on my Instagram (@thoughtfulwish) I got the chance to go to Inbound, and everyone was there: Aziz Ansari, Sophia Amaruso (creator of Nasty Gal), Chelsea Clinton, Amy Schumer, and many others. But the people I found most inspiring were Aziz and Sophia. These are two very successful people, who to us peasants, feel they have it all — but to be honest, they're still messing up, and trying to find their way. I think seeing a celebrity being genuinely humble and frustrated with life is refreshing, and knowing there isn't a correct path for anyone (no matter how much money or success you have).

To go a long way for a ham sandwich: listening to these story-tellers and seeing all these fresh college students, reminded me of my original major: Children's Lit. I obviously didn't stay that course, and chose graphic design, but I always loved the subject and stories, especially Little Red Riding Hood. So many different versions of the story, but one thing that remained consistent was her wardrobe. Lil' Red clearly knew what her statement piece was: a nice pop of red. I saw this bag, and I immediately thought of Little Red Riding Hood - a perfect pop of color to stand out this Fall.

Also, the first U.S. store for Primark opened in Boston in Downtown Crossing - TAKE THAT NYC!!!! I went to the pre-opening party (where I grabbed this coat, like it was the Dash of the Brides) and it was awesome; live performance from Tinashe, open bar for 21+, and a $50 gift card to get you started. I went nuts!!!!!! I looked like I was on that show where you just throw as many items in your cart as fast as possible.

Didn't I tell you Boston is exciting?! If you're ever in my city, give me a call!
