Famously Fringed
Any jacket with fringe I invest in. Yes, I said invest. Jackets with fringe I automatically associate with Chanel, and lord knows I can’t afford that. The fringe detailing is perfect for work, or paired with your jeans for that "chic I-dont-care-look-but-really-I-care-a-lot," you know the one I'm talking about.
So, I’m sure you’re all wondering about my dating scene (just me?) - ok twist my arm I’ll tell you. I have no idea what it’s like, no one will date me! Ok, maybe I’m being dramatic, but I’m picky for starters, I hate dating apps, and everyone I ask out (yes me - guys, step up your game, life is not a Sadie Hawkins dance) basically finds a reason to blow me off. I have 0 chill, and I'm not afraid to call someone out. One guy who I have seen a few times is infamously a "ghoster," I call him a submarine: he disappears, then all of a sudden re-emerges. So now I randomly text him whenever I feel like it, things from the weather, teletubby gifs, shopping (also super awkward when you run into them in person after flooding their messages with spam—that happened). I find being ignored annoying, so your punishment is for me to be annoying to you for the rest of your life. Like hello! I’m a photoshopped catch! Also writing this after a glass of wine, so yah, my ego is inflated.
I get it, no one wants to meet via an app, I don't want to leave my couch either, but here I am. I've also been swamped with work (behind on the blog too), so I really don't have time to truly date, but I believe if you really like someone, you'll make all the time in the world for them (and if they really like you, they'll give you that time back). I find the excuse "I'm just too busy for a relationship right now" annoying, like are you that busy? Beyoncé has time for Jay Z's shit, and she's Beyoncé, so what are you doing? What I'm trying to say is these dating apps are killing my ego, and the idea of getting additional cats and fringe jackets seems more appealing.
So give me some hopeful stories below in the comments, or tell me what you'd rather be "busy" with than date.
