Cannoli Live Once
Once again I've been MIA! I'm finally moved into Southie and already going bankrupt with decoration planning. YOLO? Or should I say Cannoli live once. For my birthday Eataly invited to a make your own Cannoli party and wine tasting, best birthday gift! The new Cannoli bar is so much fun, learn some tips from one of their head pastry chefs, and sample some wines to go with each cannoli. There's more to a cannoli than you'd think!
Normally for my birthday I go to my favorite beach and have Mary Lou's, but I couldn't pass up on this opportunity. Also, the theme of this year (unplanned) has been "life changes." So, I'm ok not holding up my birthday tradition, and I got to hang out with some of my favorite Boston Bloggers instead like, Style-wire, Boston Bubbly, and Brittany from Boston.
It's ok to throw on a huge Tulle skirt, romp around the city, and say F*ck It! It was very freeing to be in this ballgown attire knowing my life hasn't exactly turned out the way I wanted it to, but I'm adorable AF and I'm about to shove cannolis in my face. Is this how Taylor Swift feels?
Fun tips learned at the tasting:
If you're pairing a wine with your dessert, make it sweeter than the dish.
Fill your cannoli in a spiral formation
Adding hints of fruit flavoring to your ricotta cheese brings out the taste of your wine!
A true Marsala wine only comes from Italy, kind of like a true champagne only comes from France
